I am one of four children being raised with three older brothers. I grew up on a family farm outside of Maeystown. I am lucky and blessed to have married my high school sweetheart Michael Mudd. We have two sons - Jacob & Collin. We currently reside in Waterloo. I am a graduate of Valmeyer High School and I attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville completing my Master’s degree in 2007.
I have had extensive experience within the field of speech/language pathology in a variety of settings including the Head Start Program in Cahokia and East St. Louis, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville working within many departments of pediatrics, NICU, rehab floor, outpatient, and intensive care units, as well as experience with Early Intervention providing speech therapy services within homes. After experiences in all of these settings, I chose to take the opportunity to work at Waterloo Community Unit School District. I love my job working with a variety of kids and age groups.
Some of my favorite hobbies include outdoor activities including taking long walks, hiking, riding bikes, 4 wheeler riding, and fishing. I love spending time with my family and friends! I adore my niece and nephews along with loving those precious moments watching my sons grow. I also am really excited to be involved singing within Valmeyer community choir and church choir, co-directing our annual church Christmas Eve Program, showing sheep at the Monroe County Fair, and being a member of the Ag coalition for agricultural education in the classroom and young leader’s committee of the Monroe County Farm Bureau.
I love the opportunity to work as speech language pathologist. It is a true passion to work with children and seeing all the progress we make together! I look forward to learning all about your child and working together as a team to meet their goals!
